Sparky is our shared Perlino son of Shake Shiver N Shine with Opdahl Quarter Horses. Shake Shiver N Shine is an own son of Shining Spark and earner of $5,564 and 217.5 AQHA Open Performance Points. Shake Shiver N Shine earned AQHA Performance ROM and was an AQHA World Qualifier in senior heeling, tie down roping, and junior team roping. On the bottom side he is Jessie Tivio bred.

Sparky is gentle and halter broke. He is one who can be housed right next to mares and never raise a fuss. His foals have all been well built, well colored, and gentle minded. We are in love with his first foal crop with us in 2022 and can not wait for what he produces in 2023. You can't grow wrong with guaranteed colored foals and the brains and body Sparky puts on his foals!

Bred by the great Carol Rose, Shake had big shoes to fill with his sire being Shining Spark. He did excellently in his performances and was an AQHA World Qualifer in senior heeling, tie down roping, and junior team roping.

MALE LINE
Shake Shiver N Shine is by the Shining Spark,  who earned more than $62,000, which was remarkable in those days. Shining Spark sired more than 1,300 foals to date with total earnings of more than ten million dollars. In 2002, he became the youngest stallion to capture the title of NRHA million dollar sire—a number that has only grown over time. Today, Shining Spark is the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRHCA) No. 1 all-time leading sire and the NRCHA’s first three million dollar sire. He was inducted into the NRHA Hall of Fame in 2011 and became an NRHA four million dollar sire in 2013. Some of his top earners in AQHA shows include Bald N Shiney, Shining Smokin Spark, and Shiners Diamond Jill.
Shining Spark was the result of Carol Rose’s carefully planned cross between Genuine Doc and Diamonds Sparkle. His dam, Diamonds Sparkle, was the 1979 AQHA Superhorse. Today, she’s the all-time leading producer of AQHA world champions as well as a member of the NRHA Hall of Fame and AQHA Hall of Fame. Bred and raised by Rose herself, Genuine Doc is an all-time leading sire of both reining and cutting horses as well as an AQHA Superhorse sire, and the sire of countless AQHA and NRHA world champions.

FEMALE LINE
Shake Shiver N Shine was out of Continental Jane by Continental King by the immortal King. Continental King, a black stallion foaled in 1958, is still very much a part of our breeding and training program. Charlie Hutton first stood Continental King in 1971 and he still provides both genetics and inspiration to Hilldale Farm. Continental King was sired by King P-234 (pictured to the right) out of Sue Hunt by San Siemon. He earned a Superior in Reining and was the first horse inducted into the NRHA Hall of Fame. At age 21, Charlie rode him to complete his NCHA Certificate of Ability. Statistics today still prove descendants of King are still producing an astounding number of top winning performance horses.

PJs Poco Tivio Two is by Sweet Sandy Tivio, 4Cs Ranch's halter and ranch stallion. She also goes back to Jessie Tivio and Poco Tivio. Jessie Tivio was a good breeding stallion who marked all of his offspring. Jessie was listed as being in the top 100 Grand Sires in The Reigning Horse Association and Working Cow Horse.
